      <image:title>Kathleen Bernal Rojas - Kathleen Bernal Rojas - Apprentice Instructor Specialities Apprentice Instructor Teaching Since 2025 Kathleen fell in love with Pilates after experiencing firsthand how it could ease pain, build strength, and support everyday movement. She is passionate about helping others feel more at home in their bodies. Kathleen is a Balanced Body Mat Certified instructor and is currently working toward her Reformer certification. She has also trained with Buff Bones®, focusing on movement that is safe and supportive for those with osteoporosis and joint issues. Kathleen approaches teaching with compassion, patience, and a strong belief that Pilates is for everyone—regardless of age, experience, or physical ability. She often says, “If you can breathe, you can do Pilates,” and brings that philosophy into every session she leads. Kathleen is excited to be joining the Meridian community as an apprentice instructor and looks forward to creating an inclusive, encouraging space where clients can grow stronger, move more freely, and feel good in their bodies.</image:title>

She worked for many years in environmental education and has learned that feeling good in our bodies makes us better equipped to care for ourselves, our communities and our environment. She believes Pilates to be a path to mind body connection and physical fitness that increases resilience and wellbeing. Becky received her Pilates training through Balanced Body and is excited to share the gift of ease of movement that Pilates can bring. Outside of the studio Becky enjoys sewing her own clothes and quilts to gift to her loved ones. She is also a big fan of cozy mysteries, especially Murder, She Wrote, and likes to ask "What would Jessica Fletcher do?" when considering a problem.</image:title>

      <image:title>Renee Yu - Renee Yu - Apprentice Instructor Specialities Apprentice Instructor Teaching Since 2025 Renee discovered Pilates during a period of deep burnout from running her own design studio. Through consistent practice, she began reconnecting with her body — not just to move, but to feel again. Having experienced firsthand how Pilates can release long-held tension and rebuild self-trust by accessing a quiet strength she didn’t know she had, she felt called to begin teacher training with Balanced Body, where she is currently completing her comprehensive certification. In her teaching, Renee offers a gentle yet intentional approach — inviting curiosity, awareness, and a sense of freedom through movement. She especially enjoys working with people who are open to learning about themselves, particularly during times of transition, when life feels stagnant or when hope and joy feel distant. Outside the studio, Renee enjoys running, skiing, and quiet walks with her husband and their dog, Stella. She believes that, like the ocean, we all have tides — and Pilates is one way we learn to ride them with grace.</image:title>
