Teacher Training
Balanced Body Education at Meridian Pilates
Our Pilates Teacher Training program is run under the umbrella of Balanced Body Education, an internationally-recognized and highly regarded Pilates equipment and education company based in Sacramento, CA. Our program is module-based – take each or all of the modules in the way that suits you best: all in one year, or spread out over 1, 2 or more years if it works better for your lifestyle or learning-style!
Please note that there is an order to the training modules, and prerequisites (ex: Movement Principles) must be completed prior to taking other modules. We also recomend having a consistent personal Pilates practice before starting teacher training.
For full listings of prerequisites and more information about the program, visit the Balanced Body Education website. Please feel free to email for more information as well.
Test outs: To complete your Balanced Body training you can book in a test out with us when you feel ready to do so. In order to book, you must first send in a test out application and be approved by Balanced Body. We will then organize a date and time with you to complete your test out in our studio.

What People Are Saying
“Heather Low provides exceptional detail, knowledge and heart into her teaching. I have been privileged to learn under her.”
“Heather is an unreal instructor. She is extremely knowledgeable and is very diligent in ensuring that each of us understands what we are discussing before moving on. If I didn’t have such an appreciation for Balanced Body’s methodology and a desire to become an instructor of Balanced Body Pilates, Heather alone would make me want to take a course with Balanced Body. She is extremely thorough, patient and kind. I have taken 3 courses now with Heather as the instructor (Anatomy, Mat 1 and Mat 2) and she is fantastic!”
“Excellent course. A lot of valuable and practical information. I loved Heather’s cueing and comments during the exercises. She is a very encouraging mentor and a very experienced pilates teacher. Looking forward to another course.”
“Excellent teaching that drew on experience and insight from not just Pilates but other background that gave a well rounded and deeper experience to offer your clients and teaching.”
“Heather has excellent experience in teaching Pilates which I really felt she used and reflected back on when teaching us which I really liked. She has a deep understanding of Pilates, movement and the body which was evident in her teaching and I felt really helped us get the most out of the weekends teaching. I really appreciated her time, passion and experience.”
“This course was amazing. Heather doesn’t just teach the material, but spends the time to teach you how to be a confident and competent teacher.”
